Directed by Zack Snyder, 300 stars Gerard Butler as King Leonidas, who leads a small Spartan force against the Persian army at Thermopylae. Lena Headey, David Wenham and Dominic West co-star in a stylised ancient-war action film based on Frank Miller and Lynn Varley’s comic book series. The film combines graphic-novel visuals, sword combat, Spartan warfare and large-scale historical fantasy action.
