47 Ronin (2013)

Directed by Carl Rinsch, 47 Ronin stars Keanu Reeves and Hiroyuki Sanada in a fantasy reworking of the Japanese legend of the Forty-Seven Ronin. After their lord is disgraced and condemned to death, a group of masterless samurai set out to avenge him and restore their honour, aided by the outcast Kai. Set in a fantastical version of feudal Japan, the film combines samurai action, supernatural creatures, witchcraft and a large-scale revenge quest.
