633 Squadron (1964)

Directed by Walter Grauman and starring Cliff Robertson, George Chakiris and Maria Perschy, 633 Squadron follows an RAF Mosquito squadron assigned to destroy a heavily defended German V2 fuel plant hidden deep inside a Norwegian fjord. The dangerous mission is coordinated with the Norwegian resistance, but Gestapo intervention threatens the operation before the squadron can launch its attack. Based on Frederick E. Smith’s book, the film is built around aerial combat and a high-risk World War II bombing mission.
