Anaconda (1997)

Directed by Luis Llosa and starring Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube and Jon Voight, Anaconda follows a documentary crew travelling deep into the Amazon in search of a legendary indigenous tribe. After rescuing the mysterious snake hunter Paul Sarone, their expedition is diverted into increasingly dangerous territory where a giant anaconda begins hunting the group. The film combines creature horror with Amazon jungle adventure and became the first film in the Anaconda series.
