Ashanti (1979) is a British adventure film directed by Richard Fleischer and starring Michael Caine and Peter Ustinov. The story follows a doctor whose wife is kidnapped and sold into modern-day slavery, leading him on a journey across Africa to rescue her. The film is based on the novel by Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa.
