Directed by James Cameron, Avatar follows former Marine Jake Sully as he travels to Pandora, where humans are mining valuable resources and threatening the indigenous Na’vi population. Through a genetically engineered avatar body, Jake becomes increasingly connected to the Na’vi and to Neytiri, while the conflict between the human military force and Pandora’s inhabitants moves toward open war. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang star in the first film in Cameron’s Avatar series.
