Black Hawk Down (2001)

Directed by Ridley Scott, Black Hawk Down is based on Mark Bowden’s book about the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu. Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Eric Bana and Tom Sizemore star in a military war film about U.S. soldiers caught in an escalating urban combat mission after two Black Hawk helicopters are shot down. The film combines modern warfare, tactical action, battlefield chaos and large-scale combat filmmaking.
