Blood Suckers (1971)

Directed by Robert Hartford-Davis, Blood Suckers follows a group searching for an Oxford scholar who has disappeared while conducting research in Greece. They discover that he has fallen under the influence of Chriseis, a mysterious woman connected to a secret circle practising blood-drinking rituals. Based on Simon Raven’s book Doctors Wear Scarlet, the British horror film stars Patrick Macnee, Peter Cushing and Edward Woodward and combines vampirism, occult ritual and early-1970s exploitation elements.
