Body Double (1984)

Directed by Brian De Palma, Body Double stars Craig Wasson as a struggling actor whose house-sitting job gives him a voyeuristic view of a mysterious woman in a neighbouring home. After witnessing her brutal murder, his attempts to uncover the truth lead him into the Los Angeles adult-film industry and to Holly Body, played by Melanie Griffith. The film combines murder mystery, erotic thriller and Hitchcock-inspired suspense in one of De Palma’s distinctive 1980s thrillers.
