The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) is an American horror film directed by James Whale and a sequel to the 1931 film Frankenstein. Inspired by Mary Shelley’s novel, the story continues the tale of the Creature and Victor Frankenstein as a new experiment is undertaken to create a female companion. The film stars Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester and is part of the classic Universal monster cycle.
