Directed by Maryam Touzani, Calle Málaga stars Carmen Maura as María Ángeles, a 79-year-old Spanish woman determined to remain in the Tangier apartment where she has spent most of her life. When her daughter arrives from Madrid intending to sell the home, María fights to recover both her independence and the belongings connected to her past, while unexpectedly rediscovering love and sensuality. The Spanish-language drama combines family conflict, gentle humour and later-life romance, and received the Audience Award in the Venezia Spotlight section at the 2025 Venice Film Festival
