Casino Royale (1967)

Directed by a team including John Huston, Val Guest and Ken Hughes, Casino Royale is a comedic James Bond spoof starring David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress and Orson Welles. Loosely based on Ian Fleming’s first Bond book, the film follows a retired Sir James Bond returning to espionage as multiple agents adopt the 007 identity in an attempt to confuse SMERSH. Burt Bacharach’s “The Look of Love” received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.
