Directed by Tobe Hooper and based on the novel The Space Vampires by Colin Wilson, Lifeforce follows a space shuttle crew that discovers mysterious humanoid beings inside an ancient spacecraft hidden within Halley’s Comet. After the entities are brought back to Earth, a deadly outbreak spreads across London as scientists and military authorities attempt to understand the nature of the extraterrestrial threat. The film combines science fiction, horror and large-scale apocalyptic spectacle through a blend of alien mythology, space exploration and supernatural terror.
