Directed by Alejandro Amenábar, The Others (2001) stars Nicole Kidman as a mother living with her two children in an isolated mansion on the island of Jersey shortly after World War II. Strange events begin to disturb the household as the family follows strict rules to keep the children away from sunlight. The film combines gothic atmosphere, psychological tension and supernatural mystery.
