Directed by Leslie H. Martinson and starring Adam West and Burt Ward, Batman: The Movie brings the colourful world of the 1966 television series to the big screen as Batman and Robin face a team-up of Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman. The villains plot to threaten world leaders using a stolen invention, leading the Dynamic Duo through a deliberately campy mix of superhero action, gadgets and comedy. The film belongs to the same continuity as the classic Adam West Batman series
