Brian De Palma’s Scarface (1983), starring Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, is an explosive, operatic crime epic about the rise and violent downfall of Miami drug lord Tony Montana. Blending gangster spectacle with psychological intensity, the film traces Montana’s climb from refugee to ruthless kingpin in a world defined by excess, paranoia, and brutal ambition. A cornerstone of modern organized-crime cinema, it remains one of the most influential gangster sagas ever made.
