Directed by Samuel Bayer, A Nightmare on Elm Street stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger in a remake of Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic. Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner and Katie Cassidy co-star as teenagers haunted in their dreams by a burned killer whose past connects them to a shared childhood trauma. The film reworks the Elm Street mythology with supernatural slasher horror, dream-based terror and a darker version of Freddy Krueger.
