Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, Event Horizon stars Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill as members of a rescue mission sent to investigate a spacecraft that has mysteriously reappeared near Neptune seven years after vanishing. The ship’s experimental gravity drive has brought back something far more dangerous than its missing crew, and the rescuers are subjected to increasingly violent hallucinations and psychological torment. The film combines science-fiction horror, supernatural terror and claustrophobic isolation in deep space.
