Directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud, Them follows a young couple living in an isolated house in Romania who are terrorised during the night by unseen intruders. Olivia Bonamy and Michaël Cohen star in this lean French-language horror thriller built around home invasion, isolation and escalating pursuit. The film was presented as being inspired by reported real-life events, adding to its stripped-down sense of realism.
