Directed by Paul Verhoeven, Starship Troopers is a violent science fiction action film based on Robert A. Heinlein’s book. Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, Denise Richards and Michael Ironside star in a future war story where young soldiers fight giant alien insects under a militarized propaganda state. The film combines military sci-fi, creature action, graphic combat and Verhoeven’s satirical take on fascism, media and war.
