Directed by Peter Hewitt and starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey follows Bill and Ted after they are murdered by evil robotic doubles and forced to travel through the afterlife in an attempt to return to the world of the living. Combining comedy, fantasy and science-fiction elements, the film centers on the afterlife, alternate versions of the heroes, Death himself and a battle to protect the future that depends on their music. The story expands the Bill & Ted universe with surreal imagery, supernatural concepts and offbeat comedy.
