Directed by Bennett Miller, Capote (2005) stars Philip Seymour Hoffman as author Truman Capote during the research and writing of his true-crime book In Cold Blood. The film follows Capote as he interviews the killers responsible for the 1959 Clutter family murders in Kansas. Philip Seymour Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Capote.
